ABOUT ME

Greetings Travis Families!

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ms. Chapel and I am your child's 4th grade Social Studies teacher. I am so thrilled for the 2017-2018 school year. Being at Travis has been a dream come true! In my 12 years as an educator I have served as a 1st grade teacher, 5th grade teacher, a Dean and curriculum writer, as well as a GT coordinator and TAG pullout instructor.  I love working with students who need an extra challenge! Last year I taught 4th grade reading and I am excited to teach Texas History this year!

A little bit about me:

I am a native New Yorker who moved to the great state of Texas about 11 years ago. Growing up on Long Island, the beach was (and still is) my family's favorite past time. You can still find me cherishing a good book with my toes in the Long Island sand each summer. I live in Dallas and love the sense of community in my neighborhood. My apartment is filled with animals that bring me much joy. I have a dog; Olivia and two cats; Madison and Emma.
