IP, Cowboys, Railroads Ohh My!

Greetings 4th Grade Families,

We have been very busy in room 104! Here is a quick update of upcoming events.

Independent Project-Careers

Research Paper: We have been finishing our IP research paper and have gone well beyond the amount of class time we can afford on this assignment. Some students are still working. This project is due on Friday and may be taken home. This is supposed to be an at school project, so please do not give them any feedback! Thanks so much. Students may use easybib.com if they are struggling with their works cited/bibliography.

IP Night: Students will present their IP projects, next Wednesday, 3/28, at IP night. IP night will run from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm, and it is expected that all students are in attendance and go home after school and then arrive by 6pm with their families. Please send students to the cafeteria and all guests to the auditorium by 6pm.

Chapter 8: We are heading into the industrial revolution and the time of "black gold" and Cowboys in Texas. The next assessment will be on 4/6/18. The new vocab words for this chapter can be found on Quizlet.

Current Event: With all the at home projects, our day off next Fri, etc. I am making this month's current event an extra credit/optional assignment. Students that complete their current event will have their lowest classwork grade replaced with a 100.
